Great news!
I am back open and ready to see new consultations and resume surgery! I am following guidelines set forth by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
My office will continue to take measures to ensure the safety of my patients and staff. We are taking all the necessary steps to limit the chance of infection. Patients will be screened about fever, cough, shortness of breath, as well as the newest symptoms as indicated by the CDC. Patients with suspected illness will not be allowed into the office and will be directed to the appropriate caregiver to evaluate further.
We are enforcing strict "social distancing" protocols to reduce potential spread as well as frequent cleaning of surfaces and hand washing, etc. A limited number of patients will be allowed in the office and some patients will be asked to remain in their cars until they are ready to be seen.
We are asking ALL of our patients to provide their own cloth face covering during all office visits and on the date of surgery. Only one visitor can accompany surgery patients.
New consults are now being scheduled but virtual consults can also be arranged by filling out the contact form. I will personally answer your inquiry and provide instructions for arranging a virtual visit.
Surgery patients who were canceled have been rescheduled and new patients can now be scheduled. We are adopting stringent safety measures in the OR to protect our patients and staff. When testing becomes more widely available, we will institute that as well.
Please stay safe and healthy. We will get through this but it takes sacrifice and caution.
My best,
Dr. Lyle
