With the recent global COVID-19 pandemic, my office has ceased doing any elective surgeries. Our operating room is closed and I am only performing urgent or emergency procedures. This is on the recommendation of my professional societies (ASPS and ASAPS) but also on the direction of the Governor of North Carolina.
My office has limited its hours to be able to see post-operative patients. We are taking the necessary steps to limit the chance of infection not only to my patients but to my staff. Patients will be screened about fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc and will not be allowed into the office if symptoms or signs are present.
We are enforcing strict “distancing” protocols to reduce potential spread as well as frequent cleaning of surfaces and hand washing, etc.
No elective new consults are being scheduled but virtual consults can be arranged by filling out a contact form. I will personally answer your inquiry and provide instructions for arranging a virtual visit.
Please stay safe and healthy. We will get through this but it takes sacrifice and caution.
