What is Sofwave™? Sofwave™ is a non-surgical device that delivers ultrasonic energy to the skin that helps to affect collagen and elastin and tighten and lift the skin. It is used on the face and neck as well as brow region and has FDA clearance for treatment of skin laxity of the arms thighs knees and abdomen.

The procedure does require the use of a topical anesthetic; some patients will benefit from a light sedative as the treatment can be somewhat painful. Most patients report a very warm sensation . Treatments typically take 30 min to one hour but have no down time. Results take up to 3 months but continue to improve for up to a year. Typically only one treatment is necessary but many patients return for additional treatments to address ongoing aging.
Treatment can be performed at any time of the year as there is no concern about sun exposure. The skin may be a little red and slightly swollen after surgery.
