Facelift Rejuvenates the Neck and Jowls/ Neogen and Sciton BBL Improves Skin*

Patients with advanced facial aging benefit from cosmetic procedures such as facelift, brow lift and blepharoplasty. Unfortunately, these procedures do not address the color, texture or fine line wrinkling of the skin. In these patients, comprehensive rejuvenation involves preoperative skin care as well as Intraoperative and postoperative measures to improve the quality of the skin. This can include intraoperative chemical peel, dermabrasion or laser resurfacing as well as fat grafting. This 78-year-old woman came in requesting facelift surgery. She wanted to look younger but not too much different and had seen several plastic surgeons who recommended much more surgery than she was willing to go through. Dr. Lyle performed a facelift on her with major improvements in her neck and jowl. Because of some underlying health issues, this was performed at Rex Hospital as an outpatient. She was so pleased with the outcome that she underwent further treatments including NeoGen PSR (- non-ablative resurfacing) which is combined with Sciton Broad Band Light These treatments are quite effective for improving skin color, texture and reducing fine-line wrinkles that result from sun damage and aging. She later underwent upper blepharoplasty under local anesthesia at Dr. Lyle's office. She initially was not interested in this procedure but saw such nice improvements in her face that she decided to continue to work on her appearance.
