Breast reduction is indicated for patients with disproportionately large breasts. The patient's primary care physician must document these conditions and the measures taken to improve them such as physical therapy and chiropractic manipulation, supportive bras and the use of anti-inflammatories. This 27-year-old woman suffered from a large 36 DDD cup breasts which were disproportionately large for her small frame. She felt " top heavy". No amount of physical therapy, anti-inflammatories or support bras were going to have a significant impact; and at her young age, there was no chance her breasts would get smaller with aging. In fact many women will get get larger with age. She had bilateral breast reduction with removal of 500 g from the larger right breast and 465 g from the left breast. She was very happy with her smaller breast size and had rapid improvement in neck and back pain. She regained confidence and no longer felt self-conscious or "top heavy".
