This 24 year old woman had lost 100 lbs through diet and exercise. She wanted to address her drooping breasts and lateral bra roll areas. She did not want an augmentation. She had breast ptosis ( sagging) and lateral skin and fatty excess. She had a extended mastopexy with use of her lateral bra roll fat as an"auto augmentation " to add to her breast volume. This procedure involves removing excess skin laterally and into the back area and preserving some of the deep subcutaneous tissue and fat based on blood supply from the lateral breast area. The tissue is sometimes known as a spiral flap and is an effective means to "augment" a breast lift using your own tissue. This is procedure used for patients who have loss weight through diet and exercise or through bariatric surgery. She was very happy with her new perkier, fuller breasts. No implant was necessary to achieve her goals.
