Short Scar Breast lift in Raleigh, North Carolina*

This 42 year old woman desired less dropping of her breasts and better symmetry. She only wanted small reduction . A vertical or short scar lift was performed which limited the scar to around the nipple and straight down with a small lateral scar on the bottom which is not visible. This limited the length of scar over the typical anchor type scar. The patient was very pleased with the improvement. Short scar breast reductions and breast lifts have also been called a vertical lift or a "lollipop lift" as the breast shaping is done through a scar in the center of the breast with maybe a very small scar on the bottom of the breast or off to the side. This may be preferred over the full anchor pattern. This is generally suited for patients without too much skin excess. It is not for everyone-Very large reductions or patients with extreme breast sagging are better suited with a Wise pattern also known as an inverted T or anchor pattern scar.
