This 18-year-old woman desired breast augmentation. Because she was under 22 years old, saline augmentation was chosen. She had Mentor saline devices placed with 330 cc fill. She went from an A to a full C and was very happy with her new breast size. Can you get silicone gel breast implants when you are under 22? Yes, you can. They are considered off label by the FDA. Many procedures and products are done an in an off-label fashion such as administration of filler materials and neurotoxins ( Botox ®) It does not mean it is not legal and it does not mean it is not safe.
