Augmentation Mastopexy Combined with Liposuction in Raleigh, North Carolina*

This 47-year-old woman wished to have improvements in her breast with more fullness in the upper pole, a better shape but without being too large. She also had concerns about the fat and loose skin of her back and flank areas and was hopeful to have her breasts treated at the same time as her liposuction. Dr. Lyle performed Vaser assisted liposuction which uses ultrasonic energy to shatter the fat prior to removing it with standard power assisted liposuction. He also used the Renuvion device which helps to shrink the collagen fibers exposed by the liposuction to help prevent loosening of the skin which frequently occurs with liposuction. The patient had this performed in addition to augmentation mastopexy with placement of 325 cc Allergan implants in during the mastopexy. She was very pleased with the outcome It does take time for results of Renuvion and Vaser to become apparent. Typically, compression garments are used for up to 3 months. Augmentation mastopexy also take time to settle and look natural. This patient's results are shown at 2 years postop with nice maintenance of the upper pole and a natural appearing breast profile. Her back and flanks are much improved as well.
