This 47-year-old woman underwent a gastric sleeve operation with 120 pound weight loss. She was much more comfortable in her slimmer frame but had concerns about her loose sagging breasts. She desired fuller lifted breasts. She underwent bilateral augmentation mastopexy with silicone gel implants. Implants were placed under the muscle with a full anchor pattern type mastopexy. She had Allergan S SM 345 cc prosthesis placed with a Keller funnel. Weight loss results in obvious laxity of tissue involving arms, breasts, abdomen and thighs and face. Most weight loss patients have a number of concerns and the after effects of weight loss do not affect people the same. This patient was not terribly unhappy with her abdomen and prioritized her breasts. Augmentation mastopexy in this patient population usually involves the use of silicone gel implants which have improved in terms of safety and implant choice selection over the years. Generally, Dr. Lyle prefers placement under the muscle to provide more soft tissue coverage and reduced risk of capsular contracture. The patient was very happy with her perky lifted breasts .
