Implant Exchange with Lift in Raleigh

This 35 year old woman had prior subglandular saline devices ( 220 cc). After childbearing, she developed stretching of her areolae as well as drooping or ptosis. She desired fuller more lifted appearing breasts. She underwent replacement of her implants with silicone gel implants ( 350 cc)which were switched to the submuscular plane to reduce chance of capsular contracture and provide more soft tissue coverage of the implant. She also had a reverse abdominoplasty to tighten her upper abdomen. Post operatively, she was much happier with her larger , lifted more natural feeling breasts. Site change to a subpectoral location is often recommended when subglandular implants are exchanged to reduce risk of capsular contracture and reduce palpability.
