Women desire contouring of their entire trunk when they undergo abdominoplasty. They frequently request fat transfer to the buttock during this procedure. Many physicians will not offer this combination and prefer to do them in separate procedures. This is often the preferred strategy. In some circumstances when the flanks need to be targeted aggressively to get a good abdominoplasty result, the fat can be transferred safely in a limited fashion to the buttock.
