Hip dips-what are they? These are normal indentations in the outer hips that occur naturally from uneven distribution of outer thigh between the upper femur and the pelvis. Some people call them" violin hips". Hip dips can also extend into the posterior buttock causing a shallow area that a lot of women wish to have filled to improve the curvature of the buttock. Filling hip dips can sometimes be done in an office setting under local anesthesia with either small amounts of fat transfer through liposuction or in some cases using Sculptra -a bio-stimulatory filler.
