Combination procedures for patients with significant weight loss are popular. Provided patient's have good health and low risk factors, combinations can be safely performed to address the multiple cosmetic desires of patients with previous weight loss. This patient is a 35-year-old woman who at one point was over 245 pounds but had lost weight down to 160 pounds gradually through diet and exercise. She was unhappy with the loose skin of her abdomen and buttock and flank and also had significant laxity of her arms and desired reshaping. She is otherwise quite healthy. She underwent combination brachioplasty and lower body lift at Dr. Lyle"s outpatient surgical facility. The patient did quite well postoperatively with no complications and went home on the day of surgery. Dr. Lyle utilizes Exparel-A long-lasting numbing medication injected in the abdomen and incision lines to improve postoperative pain management The improvements noted in her abdomen and arms were significant and she was quite pleased with her new body appearance. These photographs are at 3 months and her scars are expected to continue to fade with time.
