Umbilical hernia repair performed with Mommy Makeover in Raleigh
This 36 year old mother of 4 children lost volume in her breasts and developed an umbilical hernia and abdominal laxity after her pregnancies. She originally thought she need a full tummy tuck but had very minimal skin laxity of her abdomen. She elected to have a breast augmentation with gel implants as well as a mini abdominoplasty with umbilical hernia repair. In this approach, the hernia is addressed from a low scar ( where a C section scar is located) with no scarring around the belly button. A small amount of excess skin is removed from her lower abdomen to tighten it but not a full tummy tuck. She had Allergan SRF 365 cc gel implants and went from a small B to a full C cup. Mommy makeovers usually involve procedures on the breast and abdomen . This case demonstrates that there is no such thing as a standard Mommy Makeover- each patient is individualized.
