My Ellevate: Minimally Invasive Neck Treatment Raleigh
What is involved
My Ellevate is a minimally invasive procedure with uses a light guided suture placed through small nicks in the skin which heal without noticeable scars. The suture remains underneath the skin and is not visible and helps suspend sagging muscles and salivary glands to help refine the jawline. It is usually combined with some liposuction – but not always. Energy based tightening devices like Renuvion or Facetite are frequently added to help with skin tightening. The procedure is done with local anesthesia. Very small incisions are created under the chin and earlobes to allow the liposuction and Renuvion devices but these incisions – which are sutured- heal very well and are discrete. Initial recovery is about 4- 5 days of wearing a chin strap 24 hours a day, but most patients can return to normal activities in a week.
Results
Not everyone is a good candidate. If you have excess skin- beyond the ability of the skin tightening or suture- you may need skin excision or be better suited for a neck lift of facelift. It is best with patients with some excess fat, mild laxity of muscle and mild platysmal bands. Although it has been done with older patients- over 50- it seems to be best for somewhat younger patients – late 30s and 40s – not quite ready or suitable for a neck lift. Results take 3- 6 months to be fully apparent.
This 41-year-old woman had prior Kybella treatments which were ineffective. She had My Ellevate with a small amount of liposuction and Renuvion. She now has better jawline definition but no signs that she has had a procedure.
