This 56-year-old gentleman had a lot of spider veins and red areas of his face. He was hoping to improve his complexion. A number of treatments are available but generally lasers that target red pigments and blood vessels are ideal. Patients with red spots on her face such as spider veins, enlarged capillaries, angiomas, venous lakes, rosacea and enlarged veins can be treated well with lasers and broad band light.
Procedure
The patient underwent a vascular laser treatment with the Derma V vascular laser. Generally at least 3 treatments spread apart by 4-6 weeks is recommended. The treatment itself is mildly uncomfortable but very tolerable. The device has a cooling agent delivered which makes the procedure more comfortable.
This patient just had one treatment with nice improvement and plans to have 2 more treatments.
Many patients will return for maintenance treatments in 1 year.
This device is also very good for management of scars as it helps to reduce the redness.
