Breast Revision and Implant Exchange Before and Afters/ Raleigh
Concern
Patient had prior breast lift and breast augmentation with silicone implants. She did not like her inframammary folds as it appeared that the implant was falling and causing an unusual indistinct look. She had a history of breast augmentation done by a non-board certified plastic surgeon. She wished to go up in size if possible and correct the appearance of the lower breast fold
Surgery
The patient underwent a revision implant exchange by Dr. Glenn Lyle. She had extra high-profile Allergan SRX 400 cc implants removed and replaced with Mentor gel 470 cc implants as well as bilateral inframammary fold correction with mesh reinforcement. This was a very challenging case as her tissues were extremely thin and weak and needed the soft tissue support-sometimes called an “internal bra”.
Result
She was very happy with the results with much more distinct inframammary fold and better appearance overall of her breasts.
