B cup to D cup with Saline Implants in Raleigh, NC
This 29-year-old woman lost volume in her breasts after bearing two children. She could not wear certain clothing and bathing suits without being self-conscious . She desired fuller breasts – from her B cup up to a D cup. She had a detailed consultation with Dr. Lyle, reviewing options of silicone gel implants or saline devices. She had many friends who had saline devices who were happy, and she liked the idea that if the implant failed- she would know about it immediately. She had a reasonable amount of breast tissue to cover the implant and combined with sub muscular approach- was felt to be a good candidate. She underwent bilateral placement (infra mammary fold) of submuscular Mentor High Profile 460 cc implants using a dual plane approach. This means that the upper part of the implant is covered with muscle and the lower part with her breast tissue. This is necessary to overcome a somewhat droopy appearing breast mound. She was very happy with her 36D cup breasts and had minimally palpable implants.
