Breast Augmentation After Age 50 before and After Images

Concern: This 55-year-old woman was very athletic and actually has lost some weight recently through a more vigorous exercise program. She felt that her breasts were sagging after some weight loss and was looking for modest improvement. She was very slender with a low body mass index. She had pseudoptosis which is a condition where the nipples still said above the inframammary fold but most of the breast tissue is located below the nipple. She sought out Dr. Lyle’s expertise. Using 3D imaging, as well as detailed physical examination they arrived at an appropriate implant plan.

Surgery: The patient underwent bilateral subpectoral breast augmentation with plane approach with placement of 250 cc Sientra low profile silicone gel implants. Careful dimensional planning helped obtain a beautiful result. She was very pleased with her natural-appearing breasts and was able to get back to normal exercise within about 6 weeks. Subpectoral under the muscle technique is frequently chosen especially with thinner patients.
