BBL Combined with Reverse Tummy Tuck in Raleigh, NC
Brazilian Buttock Lift Is a popular procedure that involves liposuctioning the abdomen, back and flanks and injecting the fat into the soft tissues of the buttock. It is usually a stand-alone procedure but, in many cases, it can be combined with another procedure such as abdominoplasty. In some states like Florida, there are state guidelines that restrict the amount of liposuction done in combination with other procedures which does limit the results. This 50-year patient wished to have improvements in her buttock at the same time as improvements in her upper abdomen. She underwent a reverse tummy tuck which removes skin and excess fatty tissue from the upper abdomen typically with an incision under the breasts and across the midline. This is a much less common procedure than a regular abdominoplasty. In this patient’s case, she wished to have some of the fat that was removed during liposuction transferred to her buttock. She was pleased with the improvement but sought to have more fat transferred so she underwent a second procedure 6 months later with additional liposuction and fat transfer to achieve her desired outcome. It is fairly common for women having BBL to request a revision or second BBL. This could be to improve upon the results of the first procedure or add more fat. Because a certain percentage of the fat transferred does not survive, repeated fat injections are frequently necessary.
Dr. Lyle offers Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery to enhance your natural curves using your own fat. This procedure involves liposuction to remove excess fat from areas like the abdomen or thighs, which is then purified and injected into the buttocks for a fuller, more contoured appearance.
