Sciton BBL Combined with Lutronic Ultra Laser is Effective for Pigmentation, NC
Sunspots, age spots, solar lentigo, actinic keratoses, liver spots – all of these are conditions that affect your skin and can give the face, chest and neck a blotchy, uneven appearance. Treatment with topical skin care can be helpful but these skin conditions are from the aftereffects of chronic sun exposure and are often best treated with multimodality therapy.
About BBL Broadband Light Therapy
Broadband light therapy uses the energy of light of various wavelengths to reduce discoloration from pigments in the skin. Adding a laser such as that the Thulium 1927 nm wavelength device can improve the effectiveness of BBL alone. Similar to the Moxie® device, the Cynosure Lutronic Ultra laser is also a 1927 nm device which is very effective in its own right for improving skin tone and texture. When combined with the Sciton® BBL it improves outcome and enhances recovery.
The BBL Hero can treat pigment, vascular lesions, acne and more and is effective for the face, neck and chest. Results can be seen even after one treatment but generally 3 treatment sessions are recommended. The treatments are generally comfortable and gentle although topical numbing agents are often recommended. There is very minimal downtime other than avoiding sun exposure immediately post-treatment.
