Breast augmentation Alone Cannot Correct All Symmetry Concerns
This 32-year-old woman had 2 children and lost volume in her breasts after pregnancy. She did note asymmetry with the left breast being slightly larger and slightly lower with a lower nipple position and more lax skin. The patient wanted breast augmentation but did not want mastopexy which could have address the asymmetry. She was fearful of scarring on her breast. She has always had some asymmetry and it did not bother her. The patient underwent Crisilix 3-D imaging suggesting that the right breast was slightly smaller. Preoperative computer-generated imaging can help to determine implant selection As he gets up pretty accurate depiction of the future breast appearance– although it is not 100% accurate. The patient underwent bilateral sub muscular placement of Allergan full profile smooth wall gel prosthesis with a 325 cc implant on the left and a 345 cc implant on the right.. Dr. Lyle utilizes the Keller Funnel to provide a safer entry of the implant into the sub muscular pocket. The patient was very pleased with her improvements. She still had some asymmetry which she was told about preoperatively and she totally understood that this would occur. In her brassiere, she felt perfectly symmetric. She went from a very small B cup to a small D cup and was thrilled with the improvement.
