This is a 33-year-old mother of 2 children who lost volume in her breasts after pregnancies. She was never completely happy with her breast size even before pregnancy but now wanted increased size from a small B cup to a C cup. The patient underwent bilateral submuscular breast augmentation with silicone gel implants. She was very pleased with her outcome-achieving a C cup breast that she desired. 3-D imaging with the Crisilix system is helpful in demonstrating potential outcome with breast augmentation utilizing preoperative photographs. In her case, the implant she chose in reviewing her preoperative photos manipulated to achieve her end results were accurate in demonstrating her desired breast implant. Caution has to be given as the imaging is not always a completely accurate representation of surgical results. Dr. Lyle does find this 3-D imaging system helpful in educating his patients before surgery.
