TCA Peel Improves Skin Texture with Minimal Recovery
Concern
This 74-year-old woman was hoping to get fairly rapid improvement of her face prior to a big social event coming up in about a month. Although she knew the value of other noninvasive treatments like lasers etc. she did not want to wait for the final result and wanted something fairly simple. She was advised to get on a good skin care regimen which she had not been on and she began with that but ultimately saw Dr. Lyle”s PA Haley Self for suggestions.
Treatment
She underwent a 35% medium depth TCA peel which took less than one half hour and within a week her skin had healed completely. She noted nice improvements in the fine-line and wrinkles and improved texture of her skin. She was able to look her best at her social event.
TCA peel remains as a mainstay in the management of fine-lines, wrinkles and pigmentation changes of the face. It can be used as an adjunct to other light based and laser treatments or by itself.
