Raleigh woman gets slaine breast implants and correction of Bifid Nipple
This 21 year old woman desired an improvement in her bra size from a B to a D cup. She wanted saline implants. In fact, the manufacturers recommend silicone gel only for woman 22 years or over- a concept debated by most plastic surgeons. In her case- it did not matter as she desired the piece of mind of knowing if the implants were leaking afforded by saline devices. She also had a good amount of tissue to hide the possible unfavorable characteristics of saline( palpability and even rippling). A sub muscular approach was also performed- further masking the implant’s palpability. This patient also had an uncommon condition call “bifid nipple” where she had a cleft in her right nipple. This was repaired-( fairly simply) in surgery. She had mild asymmetry with her right breast being slightly smaller so variable implant fill was performed. She had Mentor smooth walled Moderate Plus profile implants 375 cc inflated to 425 cc on the right and 400 on the left. Postoperatively, she was very pleased with her new D cup breasts and normal appearing nipple.
