Ideal Candidates
Candidates for the body contouring procedure known as the Brazilian butt lift will be evaluated to confirm they are right for this treatment. First, we make sure there is adequate fat on the body to remove for the transfer process. If you have a low body weight or have limited fat to remove for the transfer, you unfortunately may not be a good fit for this treatment. Additionally, it is crucial to have healthy skin laxity. If you have sagging skin, you may need a surgical butt lift instead. If you are at a good weight, have the right amount of fat to extract and transfer, and do not want to use an implant, this procedure may be a terrific option for you.
Surgical Technique
General anesthesia is used for a fat transfer surgery of this nature. It is qualified as an outpatient procedure and generally takes around 2 – 3 hours depending on the quantity of fat that is being removed and reinstated. Liposuction will be performed first to extract fat from specific locations of the body such as the hips, abdomen, lower back, and thighs. This method of fat removal is performed at the highest quality and safety so the fat tissue is protected from the open environment before it is purified in a closed and sterile centrifuge system. During this time, healthy fat tissue is carefully harvested and put into syringes. The injection phase then takes place, with the healthy fat tissue reinstated in a manual layering process with a delicate massage to make certain the surface looks even and smooth. This step is repeated multiple times until the expected shape has been achieved.
What to Expect
Following a Brazilian butt lift, you will be released home to recover. Keep in mind there are two areas that need to be monitored — the sections where the fat was liposuctioned and your enhanced buttocks. Both areas will have bruising. Patients should try their best to not place a lot of weight on the buttocks for around two weeks following surgery. As soon as the swelling has gone away, you will immediately notice smoothness, but final results are most often seen between 4 – 6 weeks. The buttocks will look curvaceous and shapelier. Even better, the liposuction may make the outcome even more dramatic if implemented on the hips or lower back/flanks section.

NeoGen fan - my skin definitely feels firmer and tighter - I had my NeoGen Plasma treatment a couple months ago at Lyle Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics Center. Background, I am 52 and fair with lots of past sun damage which has caused aging. I have had other laser treatments throughout the years. NeoGen caught my eye as there is a short amount of downtime and seemly easy procedure to get through. I did A LOT of research. Also like that it has dermatological indications, ie. treating actinic keratosis. It helps rebuild skin thickness and volume. Seems to go much deeper than other lasers out there. Giving you lifting and tightening. My main concern area was around my eyes and jowls. I met with Haley, Dr. Lyle’s PA for my consult and she was the one who ended up doing my treatment. She was amazing!! She did a BBL on me just prior to the treatment then numbed my face then did the NeoGen treatment. It was comfortable, not nearly as painful as some other laser devices out there! She gave great post instructions and products to apply (Oh there are pre instructions as well, basically hydrate really well several days prior) She called me the next day to check on me and the following week to see how I was doing. I’ve waited to write this because NeoGen does not show results right away. It’s a building effect. At 2 months I can see my upper eye lids have lifted and my skin definitely feels firmer and tighter. It’s wild. They want me to come in at my 3 months for after photos and then again at 6 months. I can’t wait to see the comparison. The staff and practice in and of itself were wonderful. Feels very welcoming and everyone was so nice! Great find and will go there again for other services.
I had the such a fantastic BBL broad band laser, treatment with Mary Laura. Years of fun in the sun left me with memories…and brown spots, lots of them. My skin feels so soft, bright and my eyes feel open again, no one’s asking me “did you get enough sleep?” It’s incredible. I’ll be back, and I’m sending my friends!
