About John Mertz
Dr. John Mertz is a board-certified anesthesiologist with over 20 years of experience. He has been serving with Raleigh Plastic Surgery Center since 2008. Dr. Mertz was trained at Ohio State University School of Medicine. Unlike many outpatient plastic surgery centers that utilize nurse anesthetists, Dr. Mertz is an M.D. of anesthesiology and he will be with you every minute of your operation. His extensive knowledge and experience allows him to use both general anesthesia and sedation techniques, with your utmost safety as his primary concern.
