Ideal Implants Provide Saline Safety with Gel -like Feel... With Limitations, NC

This 24-year-old woman wished to go from an A cup to a C cup. She wanted saline implants concerned about detection of leakage with silicone gel implants. She had read all about the Ideal implant which is also known as a structured implant. This device has unique features with internal structural design which allow a saline device to have more cohesiveness and less palpability. Leakage rates are also somewhat lower than standard saline devices. The patient underwent bilateral placement of 300 cc Ideal saline implants in the subpectoral plane. The implant was inflated to its full capacity. The total implant volume was 3 25 cc. These implants to have some differences between other implants. The total implant volume also includes the volume of the shell so for a 300 cc implant to be filled to its full capacity of 3 25 cc it actually only has 288 cc of saline. One of the limitations of Ideal implants is that they currently only provide one profile which essentially is closest to a high profile device that other manufacturers make . Not much variability in projection can be made. Under inflating the implant will lead to less projection but is not advised. This implant certainly has advantages over regular saline implants but patients should be warned that the high profile projection provided cannot be altered significantly without risking more palpability. This patient was quite happy with her new C cup bra and the implants were minimally palpable.
